MEASURING GUIDE

For proper installation and smooth functioning it is important that the sliding doors are designed with the correct dimensions of the wardrobe. SLIDO sliding doors are manufactured with precision, in a specialized factory for sliding doors. We have prepared a brief document to help you understand how to take measurements precisely to enable the design and production of sliding doors for your wardrobe.

1. Height Preparation

It is very important that you take accurate measurements before ordering your sliding wardrobe doors. Use a spirit level to check the ceiling and floor levels. If the floor is uneven, the doors may slide unintentionally!

Unlike other systems our sliding wardrobes are not limited to maximum height meaning that you can have full floor to ceiling wardrobes on any height opening to a maximum of 9 Feet in Aluminium System and 9 Feet in the Steel system. Our sliding wardrobe systems are bottom rolling, using ball bearing bottom rollers with twin wheel top guides. There is no load bearing on the ceiling.

2. Measuring Height

The Bottom rollers fitted to the sliding doors can be adjusted to maximum of 30mm. Measure in at least three places – the center and both ends e.g. at A, B and C.

IMPORTANT – Use the smallest measurement when supplying us with height measurements.

3. Measuring Width

Check the walls with a spirit level to see if they bow or curve. Measure at two places top and bottom Please ensure you measure (A) and (B).

IMPORTANT – Use the narrowest measurement when supplying us with width measurements.

4. General Information

REMEMBER YOU ARE MEASURING APERTURE SIZES, NOT DOOR SIZES.

When giving us the measurements enter the smallest width dimensions and the smallest height dimensions.

IMPORTANT – Normal overlap on the doors is 30 – 40mm.
